Government Backed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

The Domestic RHI Scheme
The Government Renewable Heat Incentive started life on 9th April 2014
The RHI is a financial incentive designed to encourage the uptake of home owners renewing their heating system to a more energy efficient way of heating their home and providing hot water.
The RHI could be reduced at any time, act now and don’t miss out.
The payments will be made quarterly for seven years and should cover a significant proportion, if not all, of the initial installation costs.
Since there is a finite pot of money available for the RHI payments, it is likely the current tariffs will get smaller over time (much like the solar Feed-in Tariff). Therefore, if you are considering installing a renewable heating technology, it is worth moving quickly to ensure you get the highest payment rate!
RHI payments are estimated based on heat demand rather than Metered
10.71p / kWh for air source heat pumps
6.88p / kWh for biomass boilers
21.09p / kWh for ground source heat pumps
20.89p / kWh for solar heating
Extra Government Funding may be Available on ALL technologies
